When can we expect to see Shadow and Bone season 3 on Netflix?
If Shadow and Bone is renewed again for the third time, which is an enormous “if” as of now, this will be a lengthy wait until the start of the season. It took us 23 months between the previous two seasons. Given the vast amount of ground they have covered during season two, there’s certainly potential to develop the story in greater detail. We also witnessed a significant shift at the closing of Shadow and Bone season 2 and where the book concluded. Mal and Alina have split up and the Coronation of King Nikolai was halted through an assassin. We also witness Alina using her powers and becoming more interested in them. Uh-oh!
If the season 3 finale happens, it is likely to examine some of the The King of Scars and Rule of Wolves books written by Bardugo. They are the books 6 and 7 from the series. Even though Alina isn’t as involved in the series, it seems like this is the plan, with Nikolai fighting with his injuries and the bee-swarming Zoya in the last book.
