Pirates of the Caribbean 6: Return Of Davy Jones – Trailer | Margot Robbie, Johnny Depp

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the most popular films in Disney, enough so that those who haven't watched the series are familiar with its main character, the pirate-like Captain Jack Sparrow. Sparrow was primarily developed by his actor portraying the role, Johnny Depp. It began as a simple version of a theme park with the same name, Pirates of the Caribbean quickly became a top-rated and well-loved series with fans from all over the world. The first movie, Pirates of the Caribbean 1: Curse of the Black Pearl, was released in 2003. The sequels were released in 2006, 2007, 2007, and 2017. The number of people watching the films dropped dramatically in the subsequent films. However, everyone is awed by Captain Jack. Pirates of the Caribbean 6 has a release date in the year 2018. But, despite the countless years since then, significant information on the film is very scarce. Many factors, like the COVID-19 pandemic and the highly-publicized trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, have slowed the film's progress. While this is happening, fans have created a plethora of speculation and rumors. Even with Depp being out of the business, however, many are still waiting for Captain Jack Sparrow's return. What is the situation with the sixth entry in the cult series, and will it take a turn in an entirely different direction? Pirates of the Caribbean 6: The Plot In the years since Pirates of the Caribbean 6 was first announced in 2018, many screenwriters have re-looked at the script. At first, Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick were set to draft the screenplay. Ultimately, Craig Mazin, the creator of The Last of Us, the HBO The Last of Us series The Last of Us, joined the original Pirates of the Caribbean screenwriter Ted Elliot in 2019. The only information about the plot you need to note is the film's end before it. Dead Men Tell No Tales included an after-credits scene featuring Davy Jones. Even though Will believes Jones shows up to him in an unreal situation, viewers are given the reality that Jones is actually in the room by the camera's zooming to reveal barnacles residing on the floor. So, the sixth movie may focus on the villain with tentacles returning to the series. Will Johnny Depp Return to the Franchise? Whether or not Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow will make a comeback has been a major topic of discussion for many. Fans' opinions have been divided, with some opposed to his return Depp and others refusing to watch a film without their beloved character. Many personal and legal issues have plagued Depp after being accused of domestic violence by the ex of his wife, Amber Heard. Even though he appeared to emerge out of this trial at the top legally and in the public's eye, his reputation and career are more fragile. While other corporations may be more willing to work with him once more after the evidence from the trial has been made publicly available, Disney may still stay from defending their image in the eyes of the public. It's not only that Disney cut relations with Depp; however, Depp seems to have cut ties with them in a sense of being deceived by Studio. Depp stated that nothing on earth could convince him back to Disney and said, "There was a deep and clear feeling of being that I was betrayed by those who I've fought for. People I presented the character to initially hated but I stayed to the character and it did seem to work." But, Depp has also expressed his disappointment over being unable to say an appropriate goodbye. Bruckheimer said he is hopeful to make Johnny Depp back to the franchise. Pirates of the Caribbean 6: The Cast The cast of the film isn't yet confirmed. The film's director, Kaya Scodelario, who was the character Carina Barbossa in Dead Men Tell No Tales,has stated that she is legally bound to be a part in another Pirates of the Caribbeanfilm. So, we expect to see her in the latest installment in the franchise. Maybe the storyline of the film might be based on her life. Although, despite a wonderful portrayal by Kaya, Carina is not the most popular character. Carina is an unlikable character and asking viewers to see a film featuring someone they haven't heard of is not a good marketing tactic. In addition to Scodelario and Scodelario, only educated speculations can be made regarding who may be part of the newest film. In February 2022 Orlando Bloom expressed interest in returning to the franchise for Pirates of the Caribbean 6. The next months in March Keira Knightly stated that she did not want to return to the franchise since she was satisfied with the ending of Elizabeth Swan. The two Bloom and Knightley returned for brief parts in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales however, the possibility of a film featuring both of them in significant roles with Depp could trigger some fan-religious nostalgia, much like Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Margot Robbie Pirates of the Caribbean Movie In a brief period it was apparent that Disney changed its focus away from Pirates of the Caribbean 6 and on spin-offs. In June of 2020 it was announced that Margot Robbie would be the lead in the Pirates of the Caribbean spin-off movie. The plan was to to keep the series running, but to move it away of Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow. Christina Hodson is the person who previously wrote the script for Robbie's Birds of Prey and is also the screenwriter for The Flash She was chosen to write the script. Then, in November of 2022 Robbie said that her movie no further moving forward. The producer Jerry Bruckheimer, on the contrary, stated that the film was in the process of development however, they were developing the script, and Pirates of the Caribbean 6 was the main focus. Robbie is now busy, not just working on Barbie however she will also be the director of the next Ocean's 11 film and Hodson is currently one of the many writers who are shaping James Gunn's DCU plans. This could be why Bruckheimer added that there was an additional Pirates of the Caribbean spin-off movie in production with a younger cast. Should There Be a Pirates 6? IfIf Johnny Depp, and Captain Jack Sparrow, won't be returning for the sixth film of the series, is it even worth it? Apart from the ocean the iconic Captain is the only constant feature in all the films. It is logical that for the majority of fans the Pirates of the Caribbean film is not possible without Depp. The need for Depp's return is evident since petitions on the internet ask that Disney take Depp back. This is an extremely difficult situation however, as many fans are wanting to have Depp return to the role of Jack Sparrow, many believe Depp is at fault for domestic violence. It is not a singular issue as it was when Disney did a disservice to Robin Williams and was forced to issue a public apology. This is an issue that is more complex with no specific solution. Disney could earn significant cash by returning Jack Sparrow, but they may also be losing funds. However, the cost of all the Pirates of the Caribbean films did rise somewhat, so is the risk financially worth it? Another thing to consider is Pirates of the Caribbean is not the live-action crown jewel to Disney, which it used to be in the early 2000s. In the past, Disney relied heavily on Pirates of the Caribbean as their main four-quadrant series and was searching for that success, launching numerous unsuccessful franchises. However, now they've got both Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Star Wars, producing millions of dollars. Although they'd love additional Pirates of the Caribbean films because of the brand is strength, they do not require it in the same way. They can be able to remain in the franchise for some time. Release Date There is no officially announced launch date yet for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 until the beginning of June 2023. It is worth noting that the initial two Pirates of the Caribbean films were released in early July, and the final three were released in May, or around or before Memorial Day weekend. Disney usually releases movies on weekends, and when Pirates of the Caribbean 6 was to be released, one of those weekends is likely. It is unclear whether any announcement about Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is being made. The Studio is shifting its focus to other areas and has cut over 77,000 workers and wiped out many movies off Disney+ and Hulu to reduce costs. Disney has several high-profile movies in the process of being developed which will probably be the first to get priority over a brand new Pirates of the Caribbean film.
