Outlander season 7 part 2 has finally been given a release date, and we don’t have much time to wait!
On June 1, the news was made public as part of World Outlander Day, along with a brand-new trailer that showed off Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in action for the first time.
They had just arrived in their adored homeland when they were last seen by viewers in season 7 part 1: Scotland.
However, the Revolutionary War forces them to choose between supporting their loved ones and fighting for their new home, as shown in the new trailer. It’s not quite the homecoming they were hoping for.
In the video, Balfe’s Claire says, “I don’t feel like the future is my time anymore,” before saying that she and her husband want to help start the United States of America.
In addition to the brand-new trailer, Deadline has provided us with a slew of first looks at the second half of season 7, which not only hint at additional romance between Jamie and Claire but also some conversations that appear to be contentious.
We also get a brand-new image of Roger (Richard Rankin), who is clearly on the other side of the stones and looking stressed as he stands alone on a mountain. If his attire is any indication, he is from a different era.
UK viewers will be pleased to learn that they can now do so on MGM+ if they want to catch up on previous episodes or simply rewatch them before season 7 part 2 airs.
Season 7 is the penultimate run for Stranger, with season 8 set to be the series’ last excursion. But those who have read the books by Diana Gabaldon will be aware that there will be a lot more action and a lot of surprises, as Sophie Skelton, who plays Brianna Randall, teased that “the storylines aren’t necessarily the expected ones.”
